During Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearings, we rose to oppose his appointment to the nation’s highest court. Not only did we have serious concerns about his positions on immigration, health care, reproductive rights, and labor issues — the credible allegations of sexual assault brought by brave women and his belligerent demeanor underscored that he has no business being on the Supreme Court of the United States. While the outcome of Kavanaugh being confirmed was expected but not desired, the larger goal of the campaign of lifting Latino voices was accomplished and our work demonstrated the need to enhance and continue to push this work forward to ensure judicial representation.
